I am up to about my 40th flight and this thing is smooth and so far totally flawless. I am very happy with the quality of this product. As for failsafe all I can say is thank God!! I was getting braver and doing a very long range flight when I lost my video feed. I panicked and lost orientation. It was out of visual and hearing range, and out of wifi range. So I turned off the controller. After a wait that seemed like forever I heard the faint hum of the Phantom, then up on my screen the video feed came back with the message "going home." I live in a heavily wooded area, and right in the opening of the trees I saw her start to descend and it landed safely a few feet from take off point. It was an incredible adrenal pumping thrill. Worth every cent!
